Artist Malcolm Robertson http://www.malcolmrobertson.com/ was commissioned to create a sculpture to commemorate The Battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297. William Wallace and Andrew De Moray lead a small Scottish army to victory against a much larger English attack. Malcolm asked Dotsan to convert a scan of his maquette into a 3D file that could be developed and 3D printed for display. Due to its size the model had to be broken down into a number of parts and reassembled. Shapeways were able to provide the 3D print.
